Residual Stockpile Sampling

An initial follow-up survey was conducted to verify the result of the PSI by Contecna. Result of the PSI indicated low grade Ni and Fe grades from the several stockpiles and stockyards previously mined from the Vista Buena MPSA area (residual ores). Although some assay returns came back with marketable results, the volume is not sufficient for export.

During the ocular, re-sampling of some stockpiles were conducted. These stockpiles might be used to initially blend the stockpiles at the port area. Previous mining areas or open pits were also surveyed and sampled for possible sources of higher limonite ores also for blending purposes.

After the follow-up survey, CCIL and SunJin implemented auger drilling program in order to collect a more representative sampling of the stockpiles. Three (3) main stockyards namely:1. Port stockpiles- Lower and Upper stockpiles2. Motor Pool Stockpiles- No.1 and No.2 stockpiles3. Main Stockyard- Upper and Lower stockpiles
