Copper & Gold
CCIL Mining and Mineral Resources Corporation (CCILMMRC) and the company's trading arm Classic Centre International Limited (CCI) is involved with Small Scale mining operations for high grade copper in Calapagan, Mati, Davao Oriental. Two (2) small scale workings are being mined for high grade lumpy copper ore for direct shipping. Several other mine workings within the area also supply Cu ore to CCI.
Two prospects within the area namely; 1) the Dalangin prospect and 2) the Oliver prospect. Both propects are mineralised with skarn-type mineralization near or at the contact with the diorite and the host rock units and vein type copper mineralization cutting the host units.
Mineral Processing Plant
CCILMMRC's small scale mining area in Calapagan is mainly underlain by quartz diorite body which is part of Miocene Cateel Quartz Diorite Batholith. This diorite which the host rock of high grade copper and iron deposits intrudes the hydrothermally altered sequence of sedimentary and volcanic rocks. The diorite is medium to coarse grained, massive, light gray to dark gray and the essential minerals are made-up of hornblende, feldspar and quartz. When weathered it becomes sandy and soft. It is characterized by joints, fractures and gougy when transected by faults.
The copper mineralization occurs as massive vein type localized in highly argillized quartz diorite. Vein systems about 1.2 meters thick contain sulfide minerals in the form of chalcopyrite, bornite and pyrite with abundant stains of secondary copper of malachite and azurite. Tons of copper lump ores were already extracted in the mine tunnel ranging in grade from 9 to 12 % Cu.
Classic Centre International Limited (CCI) and Yang Tai China signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) forming China Acadia Mining Resources Phlippines Corporation. The agreement involves the setting up of a mid-sized flotation plant to processes low grade copper ore rejects from the direct shipping lumpy ores. The flotation plant that produces copper concentrates is situated in Barangay Panoraon, Maco, Compostela Valley.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was also signed between CCI and the Panoraon Small Scale Miners Cooperative's (PASSMICO) Minahang Bayan area also located in Panoraon as the source of low grade copper with associated gold. The area of the PASSMICO Minahang Bayan is about 84.78 hectares. The JVA was registered with the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Regional Office XI in February 2010.
